How the office approaches your matter
The review follows custody of the assets, delegated authority, approvals, transactions and the role attributed to each person. The office can act for an affected company or assess an individual defence, subject to a conflict check.
Scope of legal services
- Review of financial records and internal approvals
- A transaction and evidence chronology
- Preparation of a complaint, claim or defence
- Representation and recovery work within the agreed mandate
What to include in your initial enquiry
Your role, the assets or transactions involved, whether a report exists and the current procedural stage. Start with a concise summary; arrangements for confidential documents can be agreed with the office.
Scope, deliverables and fees
The proposal identifies the client, the stage covered, the work to be delivered, fees and the payment schedule. Further stages or specialist work are agreed separately where needed.
Can an employee or director ask for an independent defence?
Yes. Individual representation is assessed separately from the interests of the company. The proposed client and scope are established before substantive work begins.
Does a review guarantee a particular outcome?
No. Advice and representation depend on the facts, evidence and procedural position. Acceptance of an engagement is subject to file review and conflict checks.
